Our God is great for giving us the opportunity to have students coming to our preschool for a whole morning. It feel very delightful to have children present in class, looking at them face yo face. 

Redeemer is developing financial stewardship: Christmas Cupcake sale held on December 9.

It was great, parent selling cupcakes to other and even church members support us by purchasing cupcakes. We are all grateful!

Week 17: 10-14Jan 2022         This video shows children coming to preschool doing different activities. They are learning that God is the creator of heaven and earth with all different shapes. Checking out for the day.

Week 3: 24 - 28 Jan 2022

Topic: Diamond & Oval

 

Throughline: Beauty creating: Learners engage in beautiful work that enriches the world and reflects God’s heart for diversity, complexity, and creativity. God created the shapes and children will uncover and use them to design other shapes for God’s glory.

Habits of Learning: Curious thinking: Children will learn that God is the creator of all different shapes and they will use the shapes to make a beautiful art and give it to someone.

This video shows children learning shapes and how to trace number 6.

This Thursday, student did their Formational Learning Experience:

Using the shapes, children will create an art of things God created (sun, moon     , heart      , tree, mountain     , land      , and leaf    ) and will share it to a friend, relative or neighbor letting them know all things God made have a shape. Mold me, shape me, until I think like you Lord. Romans 12:2

Week 21: 7th - 11th Feb 2022

Theme: Colors

Topic: Blue, purple, orange, brown, black, white

Through line: Beauty creating: Learners engaged with beautiful work that enriches the world and reflects God's heart for diversity, complexity and creativity.

This video shows how students that God is the creator of colors. God created things with a unique and different color like the green  and purple  and many more things.

They enjoyed using the color green and purple.

They learned how to trace number 7, across the sky and down from heaven. That's the way yo make a seven.

Week 22: 14th - 18th February 2022

 

Unit Title: Colours-God created the heaven and the earth with different and unique colours

 

Theme: Colors

 

Topic: Blue, purple, orange, brown, black, white, green, red     

 

 Throughline: Beauty creating: Learners engage in beautiful work that enriches the world and reflects God’s heart for diversity, complexity, and creativity. God created the colours and children will uncover and use them to design colourful art for God’s glory.

 

This video shows how students engaged during onsite learning and distance learning. The used the colors black and white to create different craft, like sheep, flowers, and chickens, and other things.

The also learned how to count set of seven items.

Week 22: 21st - 25 Feb 2022

Deep Hope: My deep hope for my students and myself is to understand that God created the heaven and the earth with different and unique colours.

Colours represent different feeling and emotions.

Throughline: Beauty creating: Learners engage in beautiful work that enriches the world and reflects God’s heart for diversity, complexity, and creativity. God created the colours and children will uncover and use them to design colourful art for God’s glory.

 

The video show how students engaged online and onsite learning. They learned different colors this month of Febuary and they learned that God is the creator of colors. They learned how to mix colors to get orange and brown. We also had our Parents meeting through Zoom and 21 parents connected for the meeting. Parents are excited for this coming month of March.

Week 24: 28 Feb - 4 Mar 2022

 

Stimulation Month 2022

 

Theme: We are strong, learning and growing.

 

The videos show the different activities done this first week of stimulation month. Thanks to the Almighty, students and parents were actively engaged for the first week.

On Tuesday, children were able to appreciate and be grateful to God for the Mahogany Tree that they were able to plant. Children enjoyed giving a helping hand and not only them but parents too.

On Wednesday, group B, had they opportunity to appreciate, respect and create the National Flag of Belize.

On Thursday, through zoom we met and students were able to enjoy the story, it was READ-A-LOUD Day. The enjoyed listening the story "Raindrops Plop!

Thanks to God we enjoyed and celebrated God's beautiful creation; Planting the Mahogany Tree. 

Week 7-11 March 2022

The video shows the different activities that were done this second week of stimulation month. Children were dressed of the different community helpers, they were able to dress themselves using the colors of the flag and they also had the opportunity to show and tell about their favorite toy/item. Children enjoyed the second of stimulation month. God's beauty can be seen through these students.

Week 14-18 March2022

 

Students from Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool had a super fun week full of activities. On Monday we had group B, spending a day at my preschool along with parents, it was great. On Tuesday, we had Good & Bad Touch day through zoom, students learned about good touch practices, bad touch practices and what to say and do. On Wednesday, Group A had there Day at Preschool along with parents. This Thursday, we had our Cultural Day and Redeemer presented two cultures Garifuna and Chinese. Children and parents had the opportunity to do short presentation about the culture's social life, language, food, beliefs, music and dances. We hand an enjoyable week.

Week: 28 - 31 March 2022

 

This video shows the different activities that were done this last week of Stimulation month. Students had Sport's day and even parents enjoyed themselves along with their child. On Tuesday, parent came and clean up the preschool, it stayed like new and it was blessing too. Another blessing was that parents were able to donate a Projector for our Preschool. God is so good!

Week: April 25th - 4th May 2022

 

This short video shows how students enjoyed being to school every day. Students came to preschool very enthusiastic and willing to learn, participate and help each other to learn. 

They learned to write number and a letter using sand and paper & pencil!

On Thursday April 28th, we were blessed with disinfectant stuff by the representative of the Sugar cane farmer for this area.

Week: 9th - 13th May

 

The video created show how students have learned the routines learned at Redeemer. They know the need to form a line to go to the other room, and their song is the Ants go marching! At first, I was the one who gave a toy for self chosen time, now they are learning to choose they toy for themselves. 

This week, we had our mother's day jar sale and thanks to parents and church member the sale was a success. 

Preschoolers also prepared a craft done at preschool for their lovely and unique mommy. They were so happy creating their arts with all their hearts.

Children enjoy the morning praises song!

Week: 16-20th May 2022

 

Unit Title: Transportation: God created things that go!                                                            

Unit Theme: Transportation                                                                                            

Unit Topic:  Getting from one place to another

FLEX: Children will develop appreciation and gratitude for things that can move them from one place to the other; children will create a transport craft and will share it with a family member or relative.

Habits of Learning: Joy-Filled Collaboration: children will be grateful, playful and reflective with God’s creation of thing that can move them from one place to the other.

The video created shows different activities done this week. We can see how children learn step by step following direction and do what is supposed to be done. They enjoy choosing their own toy or material and play with it for a short time. The use their imagination to create or draw things learned about God's creation. You can see the litter girl drawing the trees and cloud that God created. You can see how they have learned to pray every morning and being taught how to show respect and reverence when praying! With help of teacher, children created a water transportation which will be share with a relative or family, expressing that God is the creator of all things including the water transports.

Throughline: Creator Enjoyer: Learners delight in God’s qualities-his eternal power and divine nature exhibited in what he created.

 

Habits of Learning: Joy-Filled Collaboration: children will be grateful, playful and reflective with God’s creation of thing that can move them from one place to the other.

 

The video created shows how student learn day by day and how they delight themselves in God's qualities-his eternal power and divine nature exhibited in what he created example the means of transport by air. Children were grateful and playful and reflective with God's creation of things that can move from one place to the other by air.

Children enjoyed creating their wood plans using cloths pin and paleta sticks. Children delight themselves tracing number using sidewalk chalk on the walkway, the rain came and we finished tracing numbers using small chalk boards.

There a few students that learned how to write their name by themselves. Children can say the months of the year and days of the week and they are learning it in Spanish!

Week: 6th -10th June 2022

 

Being the last month of classes students are enjoying preschool with praises song, writing number.  We start our day singing Good morning how are you song. This is their favorite song and they sing it loud early in the morning. Students joyfully song praises songs to glorify God! 

At the beginning of the school year student started with the skills for holding crayons, scribbling, coloring, tracing and finally writing. This week, students were excited to go out and trace number 10 using colorful jumbo chalk.  This time the rain didn't stopped us because the sun was shining so bright and students enjoyed being out tracing the number and more excited using the chalks.

Promotion 2022 

Redeemer has been blessed for this new school year with 32 students. This is a short video of our first week being at preschool with new faces and recollection of different episodes happening inside and outside the preschool. Today we were able to joyfully celebrate Belize Independence in the midst of the rain. What a Blessing. Thanks God for the fruitful time we had with our students and parents. Thanks to all the parents of Redeemer and the community for your support towards this memorable day! Happy Independence Day! 

Week 3: 19th - 25th September 2022

 

Throughline: Community Building: Learners build communities of grace and purpose, making space for the for the belonging of others.
Habits of Learning: Joy-filled collaborating: children will learn to be grateful and playful with others at the preschool.

 

This week student were able to ride a bus thanks to a parent who assisted us. We went and watch the San Narciso R.C school parade being proud Belizeans.  

On Thursday student were joyfull collaborating community builders with their classmate playing with each other throwing and catching a ball and also by assemblying a map of Belize puzzle. They work with their classmated as small groups helping each other. It was not easy since they are learning to share with each other. 

We had a short but sweet week!

Week: 26th – 30th September 2022

Storyline: Step, live and enjoy God’s Story

Throughline: Community Building: Learners build communities of grace and purpose, making space for the belonging of others.

Habits of Learning: Joy-filled collaborating: children will learn to be grateful and playful with others at the preschool.

 

This short video shows how students delight themselves in God's Story by learnin, playing and having fun.

The learned who is the creator of day and night. The used there hand for tracing and catch ball too. They are learning to listen and follow little by little. They are learning to build a relationship with their classmates.

Formational Learning Experience

Student developed and sensed to be grateful to their preschool by beautifying it by making a garden in front of the preschool building.

Student were so delighful to help and beautify their preschool. Everyone wanted to help making they garden. The video is an evidence of what happened in today's activity.
Even parents were involved with is experience, they did all the donation to make a real.

Throughline: Image Bearer -We reflect God’s image! We are all image bearers of Christ! 

 

This video reveals the different activities done during the week. Children were able to identify themselves as a boy or a girl and have that sensation that they are special and that each one was created by God special and unique. They were able to know when is their bithdate. They were able to point out, name and value their body parts.

Week: 10th -21st October 2022

 

Unit Title:  Myself: Knowing God helps you know yourself

 

Storyline: Step, live and enjoy God’s Story

Throughline: Image Bearer -We reflect God’s image! We are all image bearers of Christ! 

Habits of Learning: Joy-Filled Collaboration: children will be grateful, playful and reflective. Children will rejoice and celebrate that they are created in God’s image.

 

This video communicate so many this happening at Redeemer.

From October 10th to 14th, students learned and practice about keeping their body clean and that we reflects God's image so we need to practice healthy hygiene. The were grateful to be able to know the importance of bathing, washing hand and covering their mouth when the sneeze or cough. They even had the opportunity to practice a few of this healthy practices.

Also Friday, we were preparing for our BBQ sale and on Saturday, we had the sale and it was successful accomplishment. Parent were happy to help in different ways they were able too.

The second week, I took time with each individual child to screen them and it was an enjoyment to listen to each child respond and converse about their little world. 

I was able to glimpse and appreciate each one of them as God's image bearer!

Week: 24th -28th October 2022

 

Joy-Filled Collaboration: children will be grateful, playful and reflective. 

 

This week children rejoiced and celebrated the different activities planned to glorify God.

Chidren learned about Martin Luther. They also learned the verse "by grace through faith". Theat the salvation is a free gift and we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus!

Children were able to understand about the 5 solas and as groups they created a posters.

This Friday, we were able to celebrate Reformation Day with our students and parents. Children presented short presentations. We presented them the posters and shared what the solas meant. we also share a snack with them. We had a quite number of students with parents participating on this activity. Glory To God!

Unit Title: Stimulation: We are to enjoy and use all our God-given senses

Deep Hope: Is to invite, guide and prepare my students to delight themselves in God’s story.

Storyline: Storyline: Step, live and enjoy God’s Story

Throughline: Order Discoverer: Learners seek and find God’s fingerprints in the intricate, purposeful design of what he has created.

This month we are order discovering God's fingerprint in the intricate, purposeful design of what he has created. He has created us with two glowing eyes. which are used to see things and two amazing hand which are used for touching and feeling. Children did enjoy the different activities for example going for a nature walk to use their glowing eye to see God's creation - Order Discoverers! They also used their amazing hands to touch and feel things that are hard, soft, rough and smooth. They practice trace the number 2.

Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool had the privilege to Celebrate Children's day after two year that we were unable to celebrate it face to face. Students were so happy to play the different games. We were so joyful to be out there jumping and having an awesome morning. We also had God's blessing , "the rain" and we all ran inside. Then we enjoyed our healthy snacks that parents donated. We had a magnificent day!  Praise the Lord

Formational Learning Experience:

This month of November children learned the importance of 5 senses God has given them. They were able to understand and appreciate each sense because we uses our senses in our daily life. Children developed a sense of gratitude towards God's given senses. Each child prepared fruit skewers at the preschool, they took it and share it with a relative or a neighbour. They were joyfully doing their fruit skewers and they enjoyed sharing it with others to use their God given senses!

Unit Topic: People I know and Love       

Habits of Learning: Gracious communicating: We are kind, specific, and helpful.

Our preschool learning to graciously communicate to their classmate about their family tree. Students and parents worked together with this and child was to show and tell about the family tree. Most of them knew their relatives.

As teacher, I encouraged them to be kind and to listen to their classmate. I did a splendid job!

Welcome back to Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool 2023!

Our first week, was quiet full of activities with students. Students are learning the throughline Beauty creating, God is the creator of the all things in heavens and earth. He gave a different shape to all the thing he created. Children enjoyed every activity done at preschool.
