Enric Joel Aban.png
My Name is Enric Joel Aban and I am 27 years old. At this time, I am an assistant teacher at Concepcion Presbyterian School. I really take teaching seriously because more than a job, I see it as God’s ministry.  Teaching for me is more than teaching Mathematics concepts or teaching students to read or write. Teaching for me is all of that but also preparing students to be light of the world and prepare them to serve God here on earth and in heaven.  My major goal in life is to continue growing as a Christian teacher and to further my education.  I believe that a teacher never stops learning. Every situation or experience is a lesson to become better Christian and teacher.

Vice Principal

Class:  Standard VI

Subjects:  Science, Social Studies, Health Family Life Education

Children are a blessing from God made in his image, my main goal in teaching is for my students to learn that they are blessings, unique creations of God, who can experience a personal relationship with Jesus.  As a teacher, I endeavor to guide my students to first seek God’s will in their lives, as opposed to searching after material and worldly objects.  As God has created each student with unique gifts and challenges, I as a Christian teacher it’s my duty to support my students academically, cognitive, social, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.  Furthermore, a biblical worldview should permeate every subject and area of instruction. God’s word is God’s plan for reconciliation and as Christ messengers we are to bring this message to our students.

I strongly believe that education plays a vital role in all human race. The ultimate purpose of education is to educate all students and give everyone equal opportunity to succeed in life. Through knowledge and skills, all individuals can achieve their goals in life. The combinations of knowledge and skills as well as the common values will help our students bloom into adults and become responsible and productive citizens of our beloved Belize.

First of all, may the LORD Almighty God bless you greatly.  My name is Yesenia Yanira Chan.  I was born on the 6th December, 1983.  I am 37 years old.  I live in Cristo Rey village in Corozal District.  I am happily living with my husband and my wonderful 13-years-old son.  I love to spend time with my family. I am thankful to God for my family. I am the Standard 3 teacher at Concepcion Presbyterian School. I obtained my Associate Degree in Business Administration.  I have taken the Certificate Program in Primary Education to improve and excel in knowledge and skills.

I have obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education and I am grateful to God for this achievement. I pray to God to continue guiding me and giving me the wisdom and strength that I need in this profession. I am certain that I need to be an efficient teacher. I am learning a lot and I am thankful for this opportunity. Moreover, the teaching profession is very challenging but with dedication and patience I can achieve many things.   I believe that with the help of God and putting all my effort I will succeed.   I love to teach and I really want to be a very efficient teacher and gain knowledge and skills in every aspect to impart it to my students. I am sure that together we will learn a lot; they will learn from me and at the same time I will learn from them. Finally, I can state that I am a person who is always willing to help others whenever possible. I am very friendly and respectful.  I always keep in mind a verse that is found in Philippians 4:13 “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.”  These words always give me hope and energy to work harder to achieve many things in life because without God we are and can do nothing.  I am grateful to God for his wonderful blessings and for being my refuge and my strength.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that teaching is an art of being able to inspire others to learn.  Just as doctors give patients the adequate and precise medicine to cure their sicknesses; teachers are expected to guide students in such a way that will enable them to feel confident on concepts taught.  Teaching is more than what I can write of; it is a living teaching/learning experience that never ends.  It is a cycle that will stop only if I think that I know it all. I believe that as a teacher, I need to be an instrument used by God for my students. With God’s guidance I will be able to inculcate the concepts to be taught by having God as the center of everything.  I want to be a good example for my children and also an encouragement for them.  As a teacher, I must always be up to date acquiring knowledge, skills and attitudes to impart it to students, to help and assist children by loving them and caring for them. As an educator, I believe that I must share knowledge and have a safe classroom environment.  I am a believer of the education philosophy of Jean Piaget, who believed that children create their own cognitive or intellectual conceptions of reality by exploring their environment.  I agree when he states that children keep adding and reshaping their conceptions of the world through continual interaction with their environment.  Piaget asserted that human intelligence develops in stages, each of which enhances a person’s understanding of the world on a new and more complex way.  I will keep working very hard to be the best teacher that I can be. I conclude by stating that with the help of God we can achieve and be successful because “With God, all things are possible” Matthew 19:26

First of all, may the LORD Almighty God bless you abundantly.

I am Virginia Angela Cano from Concepcion Village. Presently, I am an Infant 2 teacher. Concepcion Presbyterian School is the place I serve God as I teach the children, children that God places in my hands. I am married and proud to be a spouse and mother of four children. I am a child of God.

I believe that education is about learning about God’s world, how to take care of it, and to develop the training, knowledge, and abilities a person can get through teaching or studying in its potential according to God’s will. Education and wisdom is gain as we fear the Lord. My goal as a christian teacher is to develop both Educational and Spiritual wellbeing of my students, parents, colleagues and community. Prepare them to confront the world and be the masterpiece for the betterment of their life, family and community. I believe that if the Word of God is planted in the heart of the children and they grow in the grace of God, their life, their surroundings, and their community will surely be a better place as stated in “Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. ”I want them to make and be the difference in this world; of course with the help of God.

My name is Mrs. Magda Vellos. I am 45 years of age and I am presently teaching at Concepcion Presbyterian Primary School. I have 19 years of teaching experience and have always been thankful to God for this great privilege to serve in His Mission. Presently, I am the home room teacher for the class of Std. VI but do subject teaching of Language Arts for the classes of Std. IV, V and VI.  I enjoy teaching and I pray God continues to grant me many more years to come fulfilling His plan in my life. I avail to Him my God and Creator.

My Philosophy and Goals

Proverbs 9:10 says, “The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. This is one of the foundations and firm beliefs I have since I have been called to serve. Of course, firstly I need to model for all my students.   Strongly, I believe that all children are uniquely created by God and that they need the right educational environment where they can grow and mature spiritually, as we inprint in their lives God’s words, physically as they interact and learn, mentally as they are thought and guided to live a life knowing that they are wonderfully and fearfully made by God and that they can achieve whatever they put their minds to and socially, as they see and model to love their neighbors  as themselves. It is my desire and goal to let the Holy Spirit guide me daily as I create an environment where children meet their full potential before they come out of Concepcion Presbyterian School. Another goal is for me to also daily integrate God’s words in the lessons presented so that children can not just learn academics but God’s plan for them from the beginning. In the future if it is God’s will I would like to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education. Finally, Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”

Mrs. Martha Gonzalez has been an educator for over twenty years. She currently teaches Preschool. Martha holds a bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education. She firmly believes that each child has the potential to learn.

Philosophy

Early Childhood Education is the foundation of education. The first year of a child’s life is the crucial stage to build a firm foundation in learning. Teachers play a vital role to make a difference in the student’s life.  Teachers can either build or destroy the child’s desire to learn. As a Lower Division Teacher I am aware of this great responsibility therefore, I ensure to cater for their learning styles in order to make learning easier and interesting for my students. Children are like flowers they grow and bloom with the help of an adult. Therefore, I ensure that I care, respect and listen to them in order for them to grow spiritually, emotional and physically. My aim as a Christian Teacher is for students to grow to be God fearing  and successful citizens that will construct a productive  Belizean society.
